Hi Dean & Joanie,

We aren't going to haul a lot of groceries and foodstuffs across the desert so we will be doing most of our shopping once we arrive. I know that there are a couple of nice grocery stores in Eureka but I was wondering if there was one in Fortuna as well? It's quite a bit closer than running all the way back to Eureka.

Oh yeah, is there a Costco in the area? I'm not planning on hauling 100lb of charcoal either so I'm looking for a good price. I used to have a Sam's club membership but dropped it when they built a Costco just down the road.

There is a Costco in Eureka. We plan on hitting it before we head up to Pamplingrove.

There's two or three of the bigger grocery stores in Fortuna...
Safeway, Ray's and Huh... Food Mart maybe.
Costco's in Eureka though...
There's also Cash and Carry at Indianola Rd cutoff along 101 between Eureka and Arcata... They sell the double bags of Kingsford as well.
