OK,
We've been waiting for a Boy Scout to finish his Eagle Scout project, mapping out the grove. I'm being told that it should be available by July. (May was what we were told earlier)
I'm no map maker, but TDN and I put our heads together and came up with something...
http://www.pamplingrove.com/maps.html (scroll to the bottom of the page)
The map on the website is a jpeg file for faster loading, so I'm posting a higher quality png file of it here...

You'll notice that there are a total of 13 "campsites", 6-Upper and 7-Lower.
The six upper campsites are pretty big and will accomodate multiple tears.
I want to put folks that have problems with walking and other health issues in the upper sites, so they don't need to deal with the stairs, which lead form the dining area, near the cook shack, down to the lower group camping area.
The seven lower "sites" are mainly listed to show where the fire pits and tables are located, as the entire lower area is one huge group camping area.
All of the 13 sites listed have fire pits and tables.
There is another area to the left of the lower group area, equal in size, but it will be unaccessable to tears... Just tent camping allowed there.
If needed, there are two sites with fire pits and tables close to the edge of this tent area, which could be used by a group of tears, provided they park the tears on the edge of the group camping area.
The ranger is also giving us permission to "walk" tears out into the meadow, if people want to set-up out there and be in the sunshine, out from the shade of the redwood trees. There are a few tables and small barbeques on steel posts out in the meadow.
Note the limited number of water faucets...
I'd reccomend that folks bring their own bottled drinking water, 'cause the water from these faucets does have a bit of a "taste" to it...
As far as on site showers go...
We're still working on that and hope to have something, but worse case scenario... We'll use the coin opperated showers at Swimmers Delight campground, right next door. Bathing in the river is also allowed, providing that biodegradable bathing products are used.
