We are starting to get inquiries as to when folks can sign up and pay for the '08 event.
We will be taking early registrations sometime in early January of '08.
We want to wait until we know for sure we have the facility reserved for the event and the county won't be accepting those reservations until the first business day of 2008.
We will be contacting the attendees of IRG1.0 to see if they have plans on attending IRG2.0 sometime in the late Fall of this year.
Previous antendees who will be returning will be put on the list first.
It's looking like we'll be limiting the '08 event to 100 trailers, so there should be room for all...
(We only had 54 registered parties at the '06 event)

   Hi,

Thanks for your inquiry about the dates for the 2008 Gathering.  Due to the fact that the County does NOT take advance reservations on this particular site, Dean and I are holding out until Jan. 1, 2008 to sign up.  It involves camping out in the Public Works parking lot at the end of December    and hope that we are first in line.  Our target date range is the last week of July, with the possibility of a week either way on the calendar.  Because we are so sold on this place, we can only give you 6-7 months advance notice (but that is half a year) and I know some people must plan their vacation schedules over a year in advance.  At this point, because of the sign up system, Jan 1st (2008) is the earliest we'll even know.  Thanks for your understanding, and I can boast at bit that this spot is worth the wait!  PM Dean and I if you have any further questions.  Otherwise, kick back and wait...put in for your vacation time and if it doesn't match up, take a TD to a nearby location.

We didn't make it there in "06" but we want to come out in "08". I do alot of traveling but I have never been out to the Giant Redwoods. My family is tired of hearing me say "hay I've been here". Just one more to add to the list. The summer also works great because my wife is a teacher and has summers off.

Hey everyone.  I didn't make it to the '06 gathering either, but I really really really (is that emphatic enough) want to be at this next one!!  My tear will be done and ready to go before May of this next year (yeah!!!).  I have never been to the Redwoods either, so I am really excited about this trip!  Plus I can't wait to meet you all!

Cheers, Amy

Hey You Guys...
Sorry for the slow response.
Things will be picking up here shortly as the Holiday Season is here.
Hearing all the excitement from folks that have never been to the redwoods, is confirmation that the tall trees are a good draw.
BTW- I'm getting excited too. :awesome:

Some people have asked if they can go to the next one and don't have or know how to use a computer, can they call and reserve themselves. Donna and my self are planning to attend. Eddie Miller/Phoenix, AZ

Maybe.
Jerome should have the Guffman finished by then...
Doug should have an extra Rocketear and Road Titan layin' around...
Grant always seems to know someone with an extra one kickin' around too...
Worse case... You could always let sis borrow the Scottsman and you could drag the Dalton up.

:surprised: Camping count down begins for New Year's here in Humboldt.  The exotic locale is the parking lot and back porch of the Public Works Dept. where a hardy group of Humboldteers (sounds good, huh) will await the cold weather winds off the bay as we vie to secure a first in line spot for the desired date for the IRG.  Dean is off work in about 2 hours and said he's going to be first in line for a Friday night vigil which will last until 6:30 am on January 2nd.  My fingers and toes are getting cold just thinking about it.  I'll be support crew and sit-in participant over the weekend as well.  Our local contingent includes Kevin and TJ Director Eunice, who will be joining us for the wait as we will be rotating people in to take turns hanging out in line.  Sheeez, the things we Teardrop Groupies will do....

Stay tuned for an official announcement of the secured date soon after Wednesday, early a.m. PST.  Send us warm thoughts....Joanie

 Bledso, I'm doing the same thing. Going back and forth between the forums checking to see if dates are posted.
