On the way home from IRG 2006 we drove thru Lassen Park and what a wonderful place and drive thru the park, also saw another teardrop there (KAI). Another place I liked alot is the Smith River, and of corse the Jet boat rides in Grants Pass, OR

If you get back to Lassen, be sure to check out the Cinder Cone, Fantastic Lava Beds and the Painted Dunes in the northeast corner.
Way cool.
Been there, done that, will do it again.
