We're adding a Waffle Feed to the schedule for Friday morning.
That's also when folks competing for the Top Waffler will do their thing... Remember this award will be voted for by the people.

Should I use the Wagner, Griswold, Alfred Andresen or the Western Importing Co. waffle iron? Maybe all four?

I vote for bacon. You can put bacon on anything and it would taste good.
If I can get there in time, I'll bring my waffle iron too.

I'll have my waffle iron with me!  Last night I had to make certain it still worked properly. You never know when it will quit working. Of course I couldn't let the waffles go to waste!

I can do fried ham in butter.
And just curious...what time will the waffles be served?? Will it be light out?

D,
They will most likely be served as they come off the irons and yes it will be light. (It gets light real early that time of year)
The way it will probably pan out is... Wafflers will start slinging waffles as folks make their way to the cookshack and when the crowd is at it's optimum, we'll have a show down taste test so folks can vote for the Top Waffler.
Loosely organized I'd say, but Joanie might have other ideas to add more structure.

 Structure, organization....yes, Joanie will be setting this up.  See me when you get to the IRG if you are interested in participating in the Top Waffle cooking event.  I can also supply you with the basic batter mix, or you can provide your own with those special, secret ingredients.  There will be some wafflers cooking at the Cook Palace and some may wish to do it at their individual campsites.  Either way, we'll make arrangements...and yes, you will receive raffle tickets if you are cooking and/or helping.  I'll consider giving tickets to eaters as well.

 Thanks to those people who want to cook and pitch in for this.  We should remind people that this group consists of individuals who are interested in Teardropping, of course, but who also have a serious potluck addiction.

Therefore, if you might want to contribute for a Friday morning leisurely" when you get there for breakfast " item, bring it up to the Cook Palace and Early Bird Cafe, and then find the waffles.  Some folks may want to cook them at their campsite and have you pick them up there, so I will be devising (no, not devious) a plan so we can have a progressive potluck where you move from designated Waffle Teardrop sites and then you can get other items such as coffee, juice, fruit, etc. at the cookhouse where we should also have a few irons going.  The Berrypatch and friends have a few special things "brewing" up for us as well, so don't miss coming up sometime that day for the Early Bird Cafe.  Dean, myself, and a core group of CI fans, have NEVER allowed anyone to go hungry, unless it was by choice, but I think most people were wearing their stretchy pants or belt loosened at least one notch by the time they left the last time.

Individuals interested in applying for the right to the title of Top Waffler (you may cook for fun and not compete) should give me a PM, or come see me when you arrive so I can put your campsite on the waffles are here map.
