The biggie this year is going to be the leash rule for dogs.
Last summer, one of the rangers was mauled by an unleashed dog at Swimmers Delight, sister campground of Pamplin Grove. Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a leash at all times when not in vehicle or teardrop... No exceptions.

We welcome DOGS (canines) to this event.....especially well heeled, well behaved, quiet ones.   You MUST adhere to County Park Regulations regarding dogs on leash & clean up after them.  The Rangers will enforce this rule and have FINAL SAY IN THIS MATTER.

Keeping your dog on its leash is one way to protect it from straying off into the woods and becoming prey for a wild animal.  It should also be noted that the main areas are basically free and cleared of poison oak, but if your dog goes "free ranging" thru the woods, they might pick it up on their coat and accidentally give it to you.  The past two events have had plenty of dogs in attendance, who seemed to enjoy themselves immensely.
